Improving guidance and knowledge sharing between land managers, conservationists and local communities to preserve cultural heritage landscapes under and outside Natura 2000

Objective

The project aimed to establish a Landcare network, which will contribute to a better understanding of the need for cooperation between farmers, conservationists and communities at the European level.

  • Brochure on key success factors for cooperative nature conservation benefitting people in Europe
    • 4 best practice examples on how Landcare organisations improve biodiversity and ecology with farmers
    • EU policy recommendations for necessary CAP funding and regulations
  • 4 European workshops & field visits to Italy, Romania, Spain and Lithuania
  • Video on Landcare organisations in Europe and their activities 
  • Organising a EU-conference for the official foundation of Landcare Europe e.V. and feedback to political decision makers
  • Hosting 2 webinars to promote Landcare activities and networking
  • Factsheet in 8 languages about Landcare Europe
  • Nomination as Natura 2000 Award Finalist in the Category Cross-Border Cooperation
